Dastan Gallery

Dastan Basement Gallery was founded in 2012 by Hormoz Hemmatian with the aim of showcasing a new generation of Iranian artists. In 2015, a new section called Dastan+2 Gallery was added to Dastan Basement to provide a standard space for exhibiting twentieth-century and established contemporary art. In addition to its own venue, the gallery utilizes other spaces under the name “Out of Dastan” to create new exhibition experiences. So far, it has organized exhibitions at Sam Art, Shirin Confectionary, V Gallery, Electric Room, and Manoochehri Carriage House (Kashan). Other Dastan projects include publishing monographic books on Iranian artists, film screenings, performances, and various other events.

گالری زیرزمین دستان در سال ۱۳۹۱ به مدیریت هرمز همتیان و با هدف معرفی نسل جدید هنرمندان ایرانی آغاز به کار کرد. در سال ۱۳۹۴، بخش جدیدی با نام «گالری دستان+۲» به این مجموعه افزوده شد تا فضای استانداردی برای نمایش آثار قرن بیستم و هنر معاصر تثبیت‌شده فراهم آورد. زیرزمین دستان علاوه بر فضای اختصاصی خود، با پروژه‌هایی تحت عنوان «بیرون از دستان» در سایر مکان‌ها نیز نمایشگاه برگزار می‌کند تا تجربه‌های نمایشگاهی متفاوتی ارائه دهد. این گالری تاکنون در سام آرت، قنادی شیرین، وی گالری، اتاق برق و گاری‌خانه منوجهری (کاشان) نمایشگاه‌هایی برگزار کرده است. از دیگر فعالیت‌های دستان می‌توان به انتشار کتاب‌های مونوگرافی هنرمندان ایرانی، نمایش فیلم، اجرای پرفورمنس و برگزاری سایر رویدادهای هنری اشاره کرد.
